Event Details
For 17 years, the Richmond community has come together each fall for one of the most beloved traditions in the city’s philanthropic calendar: the Cookies for Kids’ Cancer RVA City-Wide Bake Sale. This year, the event is on the verge of a major milestone — closing in on $1 million raised since its founding.

17 Years of Baking a Difference
For 17 years, the RVA Citywide Bake Sale has brought the Richmond community together around something simple: good treats doing good. What started as a local bake sale has grown into a beloved Richmond tradition, bringing together bakeries, businesses and neighbors to raise critical funds for childhood cancer research through Cookies for Kids’ Cancer.
And this year, we’re closing in on an incredible milestone — $1 million raised.
Every cookie sold, every donation made and every business that lends its support helps fund research for new, improved and less toxic treatments for kids facing cancer. After 17 years, Richmond continues to prove just how much a community can accomplish when it comes together.
