Lily loved baking cookies with her mom and dreamed of opening a bakery one day. Though leukemia took her at age 7, her family channels that sweet spirit into funding the research that will save other children’s lives.

Lily was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia just after her 5th birthday. For two years, she fought with incredible bravery — always insisting on baking cookies for the nurses at every hospital visit.
Her infectious smile and determination inspired everyone around her. Even during her toughest days, Lily would say, “We need to help the doctors find the answer so other kids don’t have to be sick.”
After Lily passed in March 2019, her parents Maria and James created “Lily’s Warriors” to honor her wish. What started as a single bake sale at their local school has grown into a community-wide movement, with annual cookie decorating fundraisers, corporate partnerships, and a network of supporters across three states.
Every dollar raised goes directly to funding pediatric cancer research through Cookies for Kids’ Cancer, continuing Lily’s dream of helping other children.
We fund the science that moves the needle. Every grant we award supports cutting-edge research at the nation’s leading hospitals — projects designed to develop new, improved and less toxic treatments for kids with cancer.
