Do What You Know and Do What You Love: Wondering what type of fundraiser is your jam? Read how our Co-Founder and Executive Director, Gretchen Witt, recalled these sage words when conceiving the idea for Cookies for Kids’ Cancer - from the ‘Women Who Start Things series’ in Oprah Daily, ‘The Ultimate Bake Sale.

Bake (AND FREEZE) ahead of time: We’ve got some great recipes from three top chefs to get you started if a Bake Sale is your fundraising go-to.

Join a Local Event: Look for community, family, or sports events in your area where you can set up a bake sale! It's a great way to expand your reach, raise funds (and awareness), and be part of a local community event!

Make a Run for it: Every year from June through August we hold our Good Cookie Challenge where we challenge people to “Get Moving and Give Hope”. Depending where you are based, the calendar is wide open as an opportunity to get a running (aka jogging / brisk walking) group going to raise funds with a mileage goal - ask friends to sponsor with a set donation or by mile!

Call it a FUNraiser and Get Creative: At  CFKC, we believe in you and your ideas, big or small! Whether it's a unique event or a traditional fundraiser, we're here to support you every step of the way—from brainstorming to execution.

Leave it to the Teenagers: Teens are powerful advocates for change and often bring fresh, creative ideas that can energize an event and inspire their community. This is also a fantastic way for teens to earn service hours while making a meaningful impact!

Find Your Inspiration: For Hunt Churchill it was his twin sister Haldora. Hunt was by her side through her treatments over the years. Hunt’s a talented baker and young chef who loves cooking for his family. He’s found his inspirations for sure! 

Offer Services in Your Community: Back to those teens who have boundless ideas and tips. Student Shep Pounders started his own small engine repair business and gives back a portion of his proceeds to Cookies! Now that’s leadership!
