Julie Elkind
Julie Elkind, Aramark Executive Pastry Chef at Citi Field, has 16 years of experience in top kitchens and organizations such as Le Cirque, La Fonda Del Sol, Convivio, Alto, as well as formally heading up the pastry program for Esquared Hospitality. Most recently, Elkind oversaw the pastry program at Michelin star acclaimed, Batard Tribeca. Her broad achievements include winning the 2012 Zagat 30 under 30 award and 2020 Class of New York Rising Stars as well as countless other features and media appearances.
As the current executive pastry chef for Citi Field, home of the New York Mets, Elkind is in the creative fast lane and working to pave the path from fine dining to the world of sports and entertainment. Chef Elkind, now at the helm of the dessert program, has widely broadened, intricately and skillfully elevated the options offered at Citi Field for both games and events. As she continues to grow the operation on the road less travelled, she hopes to change the perception of what pastry can be in the stadium setting and break through the boundaries into a sweet world of endless possibilities.
