Chef Robin Anthony is currently a distinguished Charlotte-based chef, celebrated for bringing diverse culinary traditions to life. Born in Indonesia,Chef Robin fell in love with food early on. After relocating to the United States over a decade ago, he began a self taught culinary journey, driven by curiosity and determination. He spent countless hours perfecting his nigiri technique often staying long after his shifts leading the sushi line at several different sushi restaurants in NC, obsessively refining each cut, press, and presentation until it met his exacting standards.
Chef Robin is the visionary executive chef and owner of PrimeFish in Ballantyne featuring an a la carte menu of New York style sushi. His second restaurant Omakase Experience by : Prime Fish is where he introduced Charlotte to personalized omakase, a chef curated sushi experience rooted in Tokyo traditions with a modern twist. His creative approach blends precision, Japanese ingredients, and classical sushi craftsmanship.
Chef Robin holds the title of a Certified Sake Adviser, earned through the Sake Institute of America, and is a Sommelier through the Court of Masters Sommeliers Americas. A proud advocate for expanding Charlotte's culinary horizons, Chef Robin is committed to showcasing Japanese cuisines with both integrity and creativity. He continues to innovate at PrimeFish Cellar, his third concept. He hopes to deepen quality offerings at both restaurant and retail levels, always with one eye on future gastronomic ventures grounded in his love for food.
